Angie Hicks interned during college at CID Equity Partners, where she was hired by Bill Oesterle to start Columbus Neighbors, a call-in service and publication with reviews of home and lawn services nearby. Hicks went door to door signing up new members and collecting ratings. Hicks was successful in her new position, recruiting over 1000 members within one year. Due to her success, the company was renamed to Angie’s List. In 2017, Hicks became the Chief Customer Officer of ANGI HomeServices Inc., after Angie’s List was combined with HomeAdvisor. She is also a member of the TechPoint Board of Directors and co-founder and past member of the Board of Directors of The Governor Bob Orr Indiana Entrepreneurial Fellowship Program. Due to her hard work, she was named Women Tech Founder of the Year in 2016 by Women in Tech, as well as the TechPoint Trailblazer Award and Harvard Business School’s Alumni Achievement Award in 2017.
