Alyssa Carson strived to be an astronaut and go to Mars since she was just three years old. Now at 18 , Alyssa already has a list of accomplishments bringing her closer to her goal. She studied at the Baton Rouge International School, where she studied subjects in four different languages. Alyssa speaks English, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Turkish. She witnessed 3 Space Shuttle launches, attended the Space Camp 7 times, Space Academy 3 times, and is the youngest to graduated Advanced Space Academy. In 2012 and 2013, she attended Space camp Turkey and Canada, becoming the first person to attend all three NASA Space Camps in the world. In addition, she also was the first to visit all 14 NASA Visitor’s Centers completing the NASA Passport Program. She is following her dream of going to Mars, acting on the MER 10 panel in Washington DC to discuss future missions to Mars, and was selected to be one of seven ambassadors representing Mars One, a mission to make a human colony on Mars in 2030.
