Sonia Sotomayor

Sonia Sotomayor served as a U.S. District court judge and was on the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Sotomayor was the first latina to become the supreme court justice in history. When Sonia was young, her dad passed away and that left her mom to be a single parent, her mom emphasized education to her. In 1976, Sotomayor graduated from a prestigious university, she graduated from Princeton University.
