"The beautiful spring came; and when Nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also." Harriet Jacobs is an American Writer, she had escaped from slavery, and was sexually abused for seven years, and after she ran away. She lived in a Crawlspace where she had no light nor ventilation, she then moved to Philadelphia, Rochester where she went to work for a famous Newspaper, called the North Star. She had also written an autobiography which was called, "In the Life of a Slave Girl." In 1961, the autobiography was published inside a book. The book is still available today. She had gained freedom where her friend arranged the purchase. She turned her pain into her passion for writing.
