Nakabuye Hilda F. continues to campaign to raise awareness of the hazards of climate change and plastic pollution. However, she is now a leading figure in Uganda's Friday for Future Climate marches and the growing youth movement around climate change and environmental sustainability. Her activism comes from fear. she fears the future of her country since several countries in Africa including Uganda are at risk of desertification. " We have experienced immense heat in the month of January, and also February is very hot... These also lead to food insecurity because agriculture is affected when there is too much heat." Her goal is to garner enough attention around the world and in her country to eventually hold larger protests and climate events in Uganda. "Climate change is dangerous for us all.. Its final blow will be unknown if we do not do something about it."
