Naya Rivera is an American singer and actress who is well-known for her portrayal of Santana Lopez in the the hit show Glee. She started doing commercials when she was barely eight or nine months old and by he age of four landed her first acting gig in "The Royal Family." However, her big break was when she started on Glee, with numerous awards coming her way. She was also featured in several lists of the country's most attractive people including FHM's 'World's Sexiest Woman' List," People en Espanol, and many more. Rivera was born in Valencia an neighborhood of Santa Clarita and is of Puerto Rican, African American, and German ancestry. On May 2011 Rivera signed a deal with Columbia Records to produce a solo album. On September 2013 she debuted her single "Sorry" featuring rapper Big Sean and in 2014 Columbia Records dropped her from their list. In 2011 however, she was nominated for the ALMA Awards for Favorite TV Actress- leading role in a Comedy and Favorite Female Music Artist which she ended up winning. In 2013 she was awarded the Giffoni Award at the Giffoni Film Festival and in 2014 she shared the TV Gal Pals with Lea Mitchele at the People's Choice Awards. She is an active philanthropist and works alongside many charitable organizations including Stand up To Cancer, The Sunshine Foundation, The Elephant Project, The Trevor Project, and GLAAD.
