Gael Greene is an important and well-known American restaurant critic. She is a freelance writer for McCall's and Cosmopolitan who became New York magazine's first restaurant reviewer. Greene helped legitimize the idea of dinning out as a form of entertainment. After a 34 year run she decided to create the Ask Gael column which she continues to write on. In 2006 she named her autobiography Insatiable.
