Rigoberta MenchĂș is a human rights activist since the 1980's. She has been teaching indigenous people how to stand up against oppression and has been fighting for their rights. As an indigenous Guatamalan she knows the struggle her community faces and is seen is a labor leader by the community she has been fighting for all these years. In 1992 she won the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition for her work with social justice.
