Sarah Leah Whitson is an Executive Director of Human Rights Watch's in the Middle East and North Africa division, she is also an American Lawyer. Whitson overlooks 19 countries and has staff located in 10 countries. Whitson is an advocate and investigates missions where her focus ranges from accountability, legal reform, migrant workers, and political rights. Sarah had went to produce media for the human rights issues in the Middle East, much of the media where it was posted on was "The New York Times" , "Foreign Policy" , "The Los Angeled Times" , and "CNN." Sarah had also went to work with Goldman Sachs & Co, Cleary, Gottlien, Steen & Hamilton. Sarah had went to graduate from University of California, Berkeley and Harvard Law School. Sarah is a member of the council of Foreign relations and knows two languages, Armenian and Arabic.
