“I tend to work for people who take it as seriously as I want to take it,” she says. “I will say, however, that if I were to do it all again, I probably wouldn’t be able to pass through those party lines just because of the political climate of today.” Krista Gobins is the Senior Vice President of Sacks Communications. She was the president of the Dutchess County Young Democrats. Shortly after, Greg Ball, a then Republican assemblyman running for State Senate, decided to hire her to be his legislative director she joined his team and created bills like the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Act. She then worked for other Hudson Valley lawmakers, including Senator David Calucci, a Democrat. She now works for Renee Sacks at the Sacks Communication firm which specializes in infrastructure and real estate. A project that she is proud of is the Women Builders Council's WeforShe initiative which promotes gender equality in construction.
