Suzanne Brundage

1986 - Today

Date Added:

“I always had an international security focus, which over time really morphed into maternal and child health issues,” she says. “The core of any country’s security is the health of its citizens, and through that work I embraced this idea that the morality of a society is how well it treats its children.” Suzanne C. Brundage studied conflict resolution in Belfast, Northern, Ireland, helped orphans in Namibia who had AIDS, and worked on East Africa and Southern Africa foreign policy while in Washington, D.C. After moving to New York City she started working at the United Hospital Fund, where she launched and directs its Children's Health Initiative.
